Namaz

26 Apr

roads in the rain

Roads washed by the rain
Trees bathed and cleansed
Moisture seeping through the pores
Of the wet Earth’s skin.

Mother Nature’s ablutions
Before it kneels down on the mat
To seek forgiveness
For her childrens’ sins

this one is beautiful/sad. I keep re-reading it. It is a wonderful poem. Asking forgiveness is sometimes hard when we have wronged, but when we feel guilt through somebody else’s wrong, is a whole other level. Thank you.

Thank you so much for your thoughts Mike. I have always felt that the earth, the whole of Nature gives us umpteen chances to undesrstand and yet we go about destroying instead of co-operating in the cosmic unravelling. I can understand why you felt sad. I’m glad you did. That sadness is what I felt too , when I wrote those lines.

Thank you Sue. Yes we are one..all of us are. Feels nice to increasingly become aware of that.

Thank you Sue. Yes we are all one. That awareness , during the rare moments when it actually sinks in, is so comforting.

Beautiful message! I may be wrong but does it imply we humans not caring for nature?

Yes Dilip..O do feel we are not caring enough , but keep plundering it as if Nature is something at our disposal .

Lovely! Yes the purity sets one in a prayerful state. A vivid, multi-layered observation!
