Our hearts must find reasons

15 Sep

The earth knows no boundaries

The wind knows no walls.

The soft rays of sunlight,

The snow and rain that falls

On the mountains and the valleys

Does not winnow or sieve

To choose one over the other

Their beneficence  to give.

Our hearts must find reasons

To align and blend

With the spirit behind nature

And read the messages it sends

Our Hearts need to find those places to reside in peace.. We all of us have to start and live from our hearts instead of our heads..
Loved your poem.. If we could all but view and observe Nature she doesn’t gather to herself more than she needs… Only it seems do we humans strive to attain that which we do not need, as we push and struggle to obtain it at any costs..
Striving to find that ‘Something’ Outside of himself…
When all the time all he/she need do is look inward at the heart.. And he/she will find it was there ALL the time..
Blessings to you my wise friend

on a similar note, a line that my professor very often says :

“the heart has its reasons of which reason knows nothing”.

I love the poetry on this blog and can’t tire of saying that!

Thank you Amit. I’m increasing like this form of expression for myself. One can winzip one’s thoughts and put it down in a few sentences , instead of rambling on and on , which I tend to do when I write in prose.

I pray we do find alignment and blending, Nadira. Differences do not mean better or worse. There is no better or worse. We need only set our sites on giving.

Yes…there is no better or worse…because all of it is what makes up everything and everyone. And yet , when you say that we have to set our sites on giving , you are pointing to a better consciousness, from where we see all , including ourselves with love and compassion?

One source of spiritual teachings has said to replace “better or worse” with “different”. Then we don’t fall prey to judgement. In that vein, it seems we’d have to consider being at a different conscious level with different insights and responses. Subtle, but it does give freedom from weighing and labeling.
