It’s an hour before midnight

As I wrap up the day

And sleep sits at the counter

Piling  up  the coins in the tray.

I  guess  it’s an old habit

Reckoning   profit  and  loss

The mind sifts through the heap

The subtle  and the gross.

It’s an hour before midnight

Time for drama in dreams

A heart   full of reactions

Bursting  at the seams.

Loved it! I used to do this till some time ago, now I don’t give the events of the day much thought, unless it was something worth remembering in the happy / sad sense. But the drama in the dreams are getting more colourful 🙂

Personal accountability…that is I do believe a definitive step in the process of evolving…a difficult but essential step on this path…one that helps to ‘lighten’ up too…you express it so well Nadira..many thanks…

Thank you Shama. Introspection definitely helps, but at the same time, I guess we shouldn’t get caught in the web of guilt or regret or pride or ego’s pitfalls.
