Growth

This post is in response to the weekly photo challenge on the following link:

Entwined,but free…slender grace

Confident,contained,growing at her pace

You’d think she’s weak, but see her spirit rejoice

If she bends, why that’s her choice.

It is indeed Granny.Sometimes it’s only a question of summoning up your innate strength to stand erect. Sometimes, it is in the realisation that interdependence does not place us in any heirarchy of superior or inferior positions. We all need each other.

In a few short succinct lines, you have captured the beauty grace and strength of the vine. Lovely photo too!

You liked it the first time I posted this photo on FB, I remember:-) Thanks Jolly. There’s something to what you mentioned there too…about many South Indian female names carrying a suffix that denotes such a plant. You meant “Valli”, right?

Thanks. I have never been able to digest the term “weaker sex” used to describe the female gender. Who says we’re weak? We just sometimes allow the men to come across as strong and that is actually our strength, don’t you think so?:-)

we are usually physically weaker, biologically stronger. mentally – well that is so individual really. but I’d love to see the man who gave birth!
