Ah..If only!!

14 Nov

No longer scared of death
Nor of the stealthy darkness
The heart’s whining wantoness
Be just a streak of madness.

No longer weak or weary
No search for sustenance
No looking over the shoulders
At the retreating distance.

No more knots to unravel
No more yarns to spin
No sighs over roads not taken
No qualms about guilt and sin.

Things are as they are
Surrender would make me free
That’s not how I always am
That’s how I’d like to be!

Nadira, I’m SO GLAD to hear you are well. I would be very sad to lose my inspiration-friend-poet. The children in your school are very lucky indeed to have your gentle spirit gathered like a mother’s skirt that dances and wraps happiness and sun-warmth around them

Dear Granny, That’s really sweet of you..to be so concerned. I’m perfectly fine. I have a relative visiting and I’ve been taking her around sightseeing in different places in North India during the weekends. During the weekdays, I’m busy in a school we are running for underpriviledged children. But I’ll be back soon to read and write. Meanwhile, loads of love. 🙂

    If only…

    “It leaves me wishing too
for things to remain as they are or for better views
knowing fully that the seasons will never differ
    till spring flowers within me.”
It is a wonderful poem, Nadira and I love your ending style a lot!
